HSE Strategic Advisors will customize our engagement model with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, but in general, we will initially seek the commitment of potential client organizations that all reasonable and pertinent lines of inquiry from HSE Strategic Advisors will be entertained and embraced. We believe transparent and deep conversations are essential in discovering underlying challenges to implementing organizational goals.
The experience of HSE Strategic Advisors is largely, though not exclusively, within the electric sector. Many of the approaches to safety and resiliency planning and programming is transferable to other utility infrastructure organizations.
We engage with key leadership to identify needs, goals, impediments, your definitions of success. We discuss if HSE Strategic Advisors would be a good fit for you.
If we have a good fit, we will work with you to develop the concept scope and cost estimates. We will ask you to sign a non-disclosure agreement, as we will draw upon HSE-SA expertise and the SOW will contain proprietary intellectual property.
When and if we align on the SOW, we can quickly proceed to initiating the engagement. We will ask you to appoint an engagement lead who will be your point-of-contact with decision authority on our agreed upon actions.
We will likely seek working sessions with Senior Management and your supporting staff. Depending upon the SOW, you will likely need to include your Chief Risk Officer, Chief Safety Officer, senior level operations staff, senior health and safety leadership, senior level human resources/labor relations leadership, and others.
As part of scoping, we will want to see your corporate sustainability/responsibility reporting documents, HSE benchmarking, multi-year lagging and leading indicators reporting, safety and/or corporate culture assessment results, plus your financial and business goals and objectives. Unless we have access to, and can freely discuss, your needs and history, an engagement with HSE-SA will not be able to produce a meaningful, actionable plan for you to meet your earlier identified objectives.
HSE Strategic Advisors go beyond transmittal of agreed upon deliverables. We work with you to discuss and implement knowledge and practice transfer. Delivering new insights is not enough. Our work products with you are meaningless unless they are used and useful. Technology transfer is paramount.
